What’s happened since America

I am very aware that I haven’t really posted anything since I got back from the states. Well there is good reason for that. I’m not going to go into it all but it involves jet lag, itchy eyes, hospital visits, lots of crying and a new cat.

Weight Update

I put on two pounds in America. I ate fast food, drank loads of sugar drinks and ate a shit-ton of sweets (candy!)

I’ve lost it. I’m not lamely hovering at 216lbs and I can’t for the life of me get it off. Not that I’ve really been trying to. I don’t think I’ve ever been so unhealthy but as of next week Ben and I are going running. That’s right, my skinny geek boy is going to come running with me. I don’t know whether to be happy about that or nervous.

Do I really want him to see me panting, sweating and struggling to breathe when I run. Not really but I feel that it wouldn’t take me long to get as fit as he is – even though it’s humanly impossible to be as skinny as he is.

Photography

I’m going to be posting some of the shots from the trip but I haven’t really been around to go through them and edit. There are some ace ones in 3,500 I took that I didn’t get the chance to post here.

I’m also going garden photographing tomorrow. My Nanny has a lovely garden and wants me to take some pictures so she can send them to family members. Wish I had a macro lens. Looks like it’ll be the kit lens and a macro filter.

Articles

I want to write the ultimate roadtrip guide. There’s so much you don’t even think about when planning a road trip and I want to let others know what we did and what we would do different next time. I also want to get the names and website out there of some of the FANTASTIC B&Bs we stayed in. They deserve it.

I’ve also got an Doctor Who article to publish on Amy Pond and her fashion by my guest blogger Claire E. Smith. It’s a bit overdue but I’ll get it up when I’ve trawled the BBC picture library for relevant pics.

Love love. <3
