Clothes from Tesco…

Skirt and top both from Tesco. Although I wouldn’t normally wear patterns together I really like this combo. I need a better belt. Something plain and patent.

Same skirt and it is the asymmetrical top that my Twitter followers decided I should buy despite not being sure. Thanks guys, love this. Still no idea how to wear it though. With a bra? Top underneath? No bra/strapless? Annoyingly it would’ve been better the opposite way round to show off my chest tattoo. Unfortunately it doesn’t work like that and covers it completely.

I think you certainly can do goo fashion on the cheap. The tesco clothing line really surprised me and I love what they do. I’m still a lover of expensive designer pieces that will last for years but in a few months none of my clothes will fit properly – hopefully – so it make sense to buy on the cheap for now.

Stylish Laptop Bags

With the addition of a new laptop in my life and the fact that I’m going to be hauling it acorss the states I decided that I needed a new bag to carry it in. For those of you who are interested I ended up with a gorgeous white/red Packard Bell.

4gb memory, 320gb HDD, SD card slots, HD output, 2.1ghz processor (I think) and good integrated graphics.

So, away from the technology and onto turning it into a fashion statement.

Red Rose 17″ laptop bag – £62

This is nice although it doesn’t look like it has a shoulder strap. Having RSI I don’t think I could carry it around without being in pain…

Almost Innocent bag. – £47

I love this, would fit snugly on my shoulder and would easily fit my purse and other stuff in. It might be a bit pink for me though.

Tan leather messenger bag – £100

I like this. Really like it. It has a Mullberry feel to it. Plus it is leather. It is also nice because if my shoulder started to ache carrying it I could pass it onto Ben and he’d be able to carry it. It is a manbag after all. He’d be like Jack Bauer.

Melissa Beth Designs, Slim Tote – $137 (£85)

Really like these. They look all soft and squidgy. However they may be a little bit too laptoppy for my linking. I want something that functions like a handbag too.

Enzo Rossi Leather Bag – £95

Love this! I love the colour, it has a shoulder strap and it is leather. Plus it has loads of little pockets for phone, purse and makeup.

John Lewis Miranda Bag - £100

Also love this one too. Pockets, colour and strap. Nice.

I still don’t think any of these are what I’m looking for. I need a laptop bag that doubles as a handbag. It’ll also be my hand luggage on the way to America so it needs space for the laptop, two notebooks, a book, my purse, passport, glasses, phone and some makeup. I shall continue the search.

So, America is calling in June. In theory I’ll be a lot thinner by then so I figured I could be a bit more ambitious with my summer clothing.

RAWK! by Jess Shanahan featuring Jeffrey Campbell shoes

This is mainly here because of the Jeffrey Campbell shoes. Love them so much, biker boots are one of my weaknesses. Anyway, the above look would be for rolling around the wilderness, doing a bit of driving and rocking out in the evenings.

Sail the summer by Jess Shanahan featuring Havaianas flip flops

I love this jumper dress, I’m not sure if wearing it with flip-flops is a grand fashion choice but I wear flip-flops with everything. This would be perfect for chilling out in a cafe in New York, exploring the Indianapolis speedway and traveling in.

I love this outfit, I think parts of it are super expensive but I’d love to wander around America showing off the fact that I am British and proud of it. Plus, I love ripped jeans and have never owned a pair. Hopefully if I achieve my weight loss goal skinny, ripped, pale jeans will be right up my street. I’d also feel a bit like Rose Tyler from Doctor Who when she first met Captain Jack in WWII handing from a barrage balloon!

This is super cute and so, so girlie. Maybe a little girlie for my but I love clashing colours and I have a similar yellow skirt that I really want to wear with something tucked into it. If I wear anything high-waisted with a top tucked in it just looks silly.

This I would wear now. I used to have some gold gladiator sandals and I wore them to death, they were something like £55 from Faith and I wore them summer and winter for about two years and everything in between. Eventually the sole fell off. I need some more, they are a must have before we go away!

Love high-wasited shorts. I’d love to wear these sorts of short shorts but I don;t have the legs for it. I suppose I could wear it with leggings or tights but that sometimes looks odd. It’ll be nice to be able to be a bit thinner and get away with it. If not with the converse then with gold gladiator sandals. I miss those shoes. I love the nautical look and whether it is in fashion or not in June I’ll be rocking it.

Christmas Outift

So, whilst perusing the Vivien of Holloway site for business reasons, they kindly reminded me that Christmas is only 27 days away. So rather than going off the site and deciding I need to buy Christmas presents I bought myself a stunning red dress!

I’ve already got one Vivien of Holloway dress, a black one with white polka dots. I love it so, so much. I decided that a similar style dress in red satin would be perfect for Christmas day. (I want to find my self a little vintage apron to wear with it whilst I cook.)

I need to do some Christmas shopping.

You probably do too, so for the final time I will direct you to Vivien of Holloway so you can buy yourself an early Christmas present and be reminded that there is under one month until the big day!

Lilylolo Blush and Cover up Review

Before I start you can see the products in action in this post.

I got my hands on some of the cupcake blush and nude cover-up from www.lilylolo.co.uk, I tried them out and loved them but wanted to wait and do a proper review when I had some hi-res photographs. Well I have those now, so here we go.

Cupcake Blush

This colour is delightful, as someone who doesn’t really wear blusher I found this to be just subtle enough to give me a healthy look. It could also be layered up to give a stronger, more made up look. It goes on beautifully and I love that it is mineral, I actually went out with it on and then slept in it (I don’t make a habit of sleeping in my makeup, honest.) It stayed on despite the tossing and turning of the sleep cycle and it really didn’t clog my pores, I didn’t feel greasy any the worse for having left it on.

Nude Cover-up

I’ve only had success with mineral concealers and this stuff was no different, easy to apply, blended well and looked great under foundation. For anyone who wants to grow their mineral makeup collection you should certainly try these products. Beautifully packaged, easy on even the most sensitive of skin and with a brilliant range of products and colours.
