I’ve finally ordered myself a new corset. After trying on my burlesque outfit for my birthday party and finding that the corset I have does up fully at the back with little to no shaping of my figure I decided that the £20 purple, satin number is just too large for my 34inch waist. What a feeling! My boyfriend had said that he’d buy me a new corset when I got my waist down to 30 inches (which means I could corset to around 26) however, I’m not going to be there by my birthday. I don’t really want a corset that doesn’t really shape me to be part of my outfit. We are going for meal and although sitting down in the purple corset would be much more comfy I’ve decided that I’d rather look amazing and no be able to breathe (I can always loosen the lacing after the meal.)

From www.corsets-uk.com

I’m rather excited for it to arrive. Expect many a photograph when it does.

It is my birthday at the start of November so I've set myself a few extra little goals to make sure I can look as amazing as I want to. I'm also thinking about wearing a burlesque style outfit!

It is my 21st birthday on the 2nd November, we are going out on Halloween for a big birthday meal. I have decided to go for a burlesque outfit, my purple corset, some sort of huge skirt (I’m not ever going to be thin enough to wear stockings, suspenders and french knickers to a family meal.) So the skirt is either going to be a Moulin Rouge esque skirt, huge, with ruffles, layers etc. Also, more importantly a bustle so I have a huge arse on purpose. Or something like this:

Slightly less burlesque more 50s Rockabilly but I could make it work. Ideally I’d like the first sort of skirt, I want to do this properly, however, to buy one it would be something like £100 so I might make one. I’ve found a nice tutorial that may work well. I’ll update on that later.

Ben also said that he would buy me a corset if I could get my waist down to 30 inches. So, I am determined to do so in time for this party. Although it means that Ben will be spending money on whatever he’s getting me for my birthday as well as a corset. And I want a proper, steel boned 4 inch waist reducing corset. None of this cheap shit.

I like the ones from www.fairygothmother.co.uk, they are just so expensive and I believe I would have to go down to the store in order to find one that fits brilliantly and looks awesome. From that site I’m looking at £200+ for a corset, Ben won’t pay that. I’ll scour EBay later and will update accoridngly.

So new goal.
By the 20th October be a size 30inch waist

How do I do that, how much weight does one have to lose to get rid of 4 inches? Better start exercising!

I haven’t really been losing the weight at the rate I intended. For those of you that followed the old blog you’ll know that I had some terribly heavy weekends which just equalled fail. So I’ve decided to update my goals and I intend to stick with them this time (yeah, right I hear you all say) I will update weekly with a goals post. But here we go for now…

Lose 7lbs by 1st October
Start – 224, Current – 223, Goal – 217
6lbs to go

Lose 1 stone by 2nd November (My Birthday)
Start – 224, Current – 223, Goal – 211
13lbs to go

Be a dress size 16 by November 2nd

Lose 70lbs by April 2010
Start – 239, Current – 223, Goal – 169
54lbs to go (That’s almost 4 stone!)

So I have four goals, I like goals, they make me happy. For my birthday, my 21st I am going out for Halloween for a meal with the family, I am uber excited and cannot bloody wait! For the halloween thing I’m thinking either 50s pinup which means buying some sort of awesome dress. Or going all burlesque. I’m not sure how I’d pull off the burlesque look, definitely a corset (obviously I’d have to buy a new one of these,) but I’m not walking around in stockings and suspenders. I must research ways of pulling off the burlesque look whilst wearing a skirt or trousers!
