With Christmas out of the way, the sales have started and it’s a great chance to get a bargain. This time of the year, I love looking at fashion, tech and book deals. I’m not a hugely materialistic person so Christmas tends to be quite lean with gifts but full of food and games. Yet, I’m always tempted by a good sale.
Here are some of my top picks from the Boxing Days sales as well as some advice on how to find the best deals at this time of year.
Most of your favourite online and highstreet stores will have some sort of sale on, so start by scouring your favourites to find some bargains. If you prefer designer clothing, you might not find a lot of luck on brand websites but check out department stores like Selfridges.
These incredible Karl Lagerfeld boots are reduced from £240 to £119 at John Lewis.
I’m loving these sequin trousers from Boohoo, which currently have 25% off.
And this beautiful Boden dress is down to £45.
There are a few resources I use for my technology buying. The first is Latest Deals and I’m currently keeping an eye on 4K TV prices because I need that kind of high definition in my life. I bought my 42″ TV almost 10 years ago and while there’s nothing wrong with it, perhaps it’s time for a new one. Way back then it was £700, you can now get a 43″ 4K TV for £279, isn’t that madness?
I buy books like they’re going out of fashion. I read so quickly that I need a new delivery about once a month so obviously, I’m checking Amazon daily for all the latest books deals. (I’m also considering dropping the price of my own book!)
I read a lot of self-improvement books as well as fiction and even have a brand new bookcase to put together to house them all. I used to buy shoes impulsively but now it’s books, which I suppose saves me a little money!
Had your eye on that makeup palette since before Christmas, now is a great time to grab a bargain. Boots currently has a half-price sale featuring the likes of Smashbox, YSL, Clinique and more!
Department stores are also another good bet for beauty deals. You’ll be able to stock up on your usual favourites as well as perhaps a few new brands you’ve been dying to try.
