Norwich Fashion Week 2013 got underway at The Forum with a fashion show on Thursday 7th March. I didn’t manage to attend but on Friday I decided to take a day off from Jet Social work (although I did still wear the Jet Social uniform of sequins) and headed into the city with Bunn the Baker to drink cocktails and take some street style photos.
We went to The Library for not-so-good food. More about that on Love Norfolk.
One redeeming feature was the cocktail list. I had a Dolce Havana. An amazing lemon cocktail that required the staff to go out and buy more lemons. (Please note amazing Boden cashmere cardigan).
Then onto street style. Ali took down details while I snapped pictures. We were easy to spot because of Ali’s amazeballs hair. I’m so jealous.
My sequin uniform. C.Petula green brogues.
The full outfit. Coat: Very.co.uk* | Shoes: C.Petula from Spartoo* | Snood: Gift from a friend in Chicago | Skirt: Boohoo.com and you can’t see but in this pic but I’m wearing the Boden cashmere cardigan* and a Phase Eight necklace*.
Misty Norwich was misty.
The reasons were all to do with Jesus but it’s a good reminder that we should be smiling despite the forceful religious overtones.
After a lot of wandering around in the cold and chatting to the lovely people of Norwich city, we retired to The Walnut Tree Shades. A lovely pub serving some nice ales, which we happily partook in.
I spent the day trying to get the hang of my new camera the Canon EOS M. It’s a lovely little thing. It works just like a DSLR but with all the automatic settings of a compact camera too. It means there’s a lot of buttons!
When I got home I set it up and took a couple of manual shots on my tripod, against a wall. So pleased with it!
Because of all the walking around in the mist and rain on Friday, Saturday was a bit of a write-off. I slept for most of the day. I was supposed to be heading to Fourth Avenue Jewellery Lounge for its Rocks on the Runway fashion show. Bit gutted I missed it, to be honest.
On Sunday I took my wonderful mother out for lunch and a spot of shopping. I felt suitably recovered but fueled myself with red wine.
We drank a lot of said wine and ate some lovely food before going off to spend money on shoes.
Because I knew I was going to a fashion show in the evening I decided to go easy on my day make-up. Not something I normally do. I’m wearing Benefit eyeshadow, blusher and mascara, Clinique tinted moisturiser and a Collection lipgloss.
I’m wearing – Trousers: Next* | Top: Vero Moda | Blazer: Forever 21 | Boots: Internacionale
Mum is wearing a very fluffy coat from Jupe and a hat from ‘an old lady shop in Cromer.’
Changing room chic. Look at the new Canon EOS M. (<3)
I should’ve bought this outfit. As a business woman I need a matching suit. Pink floral is the way forward. Especially with those boots.
This is how we finished the day before I headed home to get ready for the Old Hollywood fashion show. Which, of course, has a post to itself.
