I wasn’t able to go to this so the amazing Gemma from Retro Chick kindly agreed to cover it for me.
Guests were treated to a selection of sandwiches and vol au vents, followed by cupcakes and pastries and a huge selection of teas to choose from. It was all served on mismatched vintage china which was available to buy at a £1 a piece.
There was a catwalk show with current stock from Daisy & Lola’s, who sell 40’s and 50’s reproduction from the shop on Lower Goat Lane. Beautiful vintage hair styles were by Flamingo Amy and the models were accompanied on their walk by music from the Swing King.
Afterwards Daisy & Lola had a small stall for people to shop while they finished off their tea and cake under the Library’s soaring ceiling and owner Sarah even popped around and opened up the shop for those desperate to own that special piece!
