Nautical shoes for spring

Today I’m wearing some lovely Chatham Marine nautical shoes. I think I was a bit ambitious with my outfit today so I ended up putting on black socks with the shoes half way through the working day. So rock and roll.

I’m wearing: Trousers: Boden | T-shirt: Wildfox | Shoes: Chatham Marine | Socks: Socked.co.uk

I do love this look, though, despite how chilly my ankles were this morning. Here are some other nautical shoes I’ve been drooling over lately.

The blue pair are Marc Jacobs. That little animal face is so cute. And we know that ankle straps are totally on trend at the moment. The red Blowfish pumps are simple and perfect for spring/summer. I’d love to wear them with a cute skater dress in a pale colour.

Lola Ramona might just be one of my new favourite brands. The shoes are just so cute with a very retro feel. These sandals have a very nautical feel to them with the stripey colour scheme and red details.

Next up we have some Friis & Company wedges. Something they do so well. I love the insane ankle strap.

Nautical shoes should be worn with clothes in similar colours. Red, blue and white are good but try not too look too much like an American flag. This means you should probably steer clear of any star details.

Ankle grazer jeans and pretty skater dresses look great with this style of shoes. I haven’t included any boat shoes like mine here but they are a staple of the nautical look. Comfy too!

  1. Nice outfit Jess and if I dare say you look truly spiffing in the black socks, a truly lady.

  2. Mark, I love these socks. Have well and truly stolen them from the boyf.
