Keep your smile healthy

Over the last few weeks I’ve been having some problems with my wisdom tooth. It got infected, hurt like hell and I had to be on anti-biotics for a week. It’s better now but I’m still worrying a little bit about my check up on the 15th November. I thought I’d write a quick on all the stuff you probably already know.

Floss!

You can get floss picks, which are much easier to use than the regular stuff.

The Colgate ProClinical electric toothbrush is one of the most hi-tech things you will ever see. One of the tooth brushes from the range adjusts speed etc. to make sure you get the most effective clean.

Don’t skip dentist’s appointments.

Go to the dentist regularly.

Beware of what fizzy drinks can do to your teeth. Coca Cola can dissolve bone, imagine what it’s doing to your mouth. Take a look at this video showing the effects of Coke on a wisdom tooth.

I used to drink Diet Coke a lot because of the zero calories. Whenever I was out I’d have a Diet Coke/Pepsi with either Jack Daniels or Vodka. Now that I’ve massively cut down on my alcohol intake I won’t be facing these sorts of sodas. However, when I do come to drink again, I don’t know if I can bring myself to drink spirits with any sort of mixer.

It’s a good job a prefer whiskey without any sort of watering down…
