I’m still struggling to work out what to do for NYE this year. Last year Ben managed to break his leg so I’m feeling a little disillusioned with the whole thing. I just want to wrap us both up in a bubble so nothing bad happens. What’s the likelihood of going through two traumatic NYE incidents in two years though… Still, I now have a phobia. (I think Ben dealt with his broken leg better than I did.)
Of course, we will go out because it’s an excuse for me to dress up. I’ve been thinking about what I can wear and have been trawling the net for gorgeous New Year party dresses. Here are some ideas.
I love black with this pale gold. You can get all this from the brilliant Goddiva (it’s full of celebrity inspired dresses making it perfect for New Year party dresses). The slinky LBD is given a little bit of glam with the gold detail and while those shoes might not be the easiest to walk/stand in, this is a great outfit for dancing into 2014.
Everything from Goddiva except for those spectacular shoes, they’re from Zara. I love this blue bodycon dress. It’s simple and elegant and could be worn a such. Or, you could dress it up with high heels, lots of jewellery and a large, statement clutch. Perfect for dinner parties, a little bit of dancing or posh bars.
Bonus outfit. I started making a collage for this amazing red sequin dress but it’s one of those items that just stands perfectly on its own. You don’t need over the top accessories, a big bag or showy shoes. Let the dress do the talking. I want to wear this and feel like a Hollywood starlet.
If you do want to feel like a celeb over the party season then Goddiva has something for everyone with celebrity inspired dresses. Perhaps you want to steal some of Kim Kardashian’s style for the office party or maybe you want some inspiration from Mila Kunis for a date with someone special.
It’s nice to draw inspiration from celebs, especially before big events. Most of them benefit from having stylists and you can steal that hard-earned style by browsing celeb-inspired dresses for your NYE bash.
What are your plans for New Year’s Eve? How are you going to see in 2014? (No broken bones please!)
