Fitness Challenge 1

I had a bit of a brainwave earlier on and I ran it past Ali of Running Bunn/Bunn the Baker and she’s in. We are going to do a series of week-long fitness experiments. On the surface these things are to see how different types of fitness affect us, our moods, weight loss etc.
A bonus will be the fact that we will be working hard doing what is essentially a blogging meme.
The first challenge
30 minutes exercise every day for one week.
I don’t have the time to exercise every day of the week, nor does Ali. We have full times jobs, families and lives to lead. But let’s try and make time. I read something on Tumblr about how people busier than me manage to make time to exercise. I’m sure that’s true but I’ve no idea how.
Looks like I’ll be having some early morning runs next week!
The reason for exercising 30 minutes every day is to see how it affects our bodies. It’s said you should have some rest days. Obviously if one of us picks up an injury next week then we aren’t going to hurt ourselves trying to keep up with the challenge but varied exercise should be all right. (No one ask me to run 5k every day next week.)
Ali is getting to work on making progress charts. I will keep you updated here with how we are getting on. I imagine there will be lots of swearing, sleeping and anti-social behaviour. Hopefully, though, no failure.
Any words of wisdom and motivation would be greatly received right about now.
