120 colour make-up palettes
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of BH Cosmetics. All opinions are 100% mine.
BH Cosmetics make fantastic make-up palettes. Each one contains loads of great eyeshadow in a rainbow of colours. And they’re available in matte and shimmer colours.
I have one of these palettes and despite being a make up fiend I’ve yet to use all 120 colours, not because they aren’t fantastic but because I’ve yet to get round to using each one!
While BH Cosmetics may be known for their 120 colour palettes they also do other things. Beautiful blush and lip palettes too. I have to say that I’m also very tempted by the brush set.
Now let me go back to these colours. They are long-lasting, highly-pigmented and very easily blendable. This means that these colours are a brilliant addition to your kit.
One look you could do is a rainbow look, go bright and bold. This palette allows you to experiment and reinvent your look. Something I’m very in favour of! However, if you aren’t brave enough to create a look of reds, yellows, greens and blues then BH Cosmetics do a fantastic neutrals palette.
Head on over to www.bhcosmetics.com to get your hands on some affordable, highly-pigmented colours. I’m tempted by a shimmer palette and some brushes!
£75 impulse buy shoes
You might know by now that I’m an impulse buy sort of gal. Well, I had to pick my boss’ mac up from the Apple store in Norwich. With that all done I then had to walk back to my car. I walked past River Island. Looked in the window and fell in love with some shoes.
Decided to pop in, had a bit of a look around and walked away with these beauties.
I was actually torn between them and these ones, also £74.99 (pictured below) but I decided on the wood ones because they had a zip rather than being just pull on.
Must stop spending now. <3
Cashmere!
I’ve always been a big fan of cashmere, it’s soft, warm and feels expensive. I’ve recently discovered Pure Collection a company who specialise in cashmere cardigans for women.
Not only do they have a fantastic looking website, they also sell the most fantastic clothes. And the cardigans aren’t just your usual boring types, there’s a wide variety to choose from. I particularly like the Zip Front Hooded Cashmere Cardigan, it a luxurious take on a wardrobe basic. And fantastic for layering.
When winter comes around – although it feels like it’s already here – I can see it being worn over a long-sleeved dress with thick tights and boots. Maybe pop a mac over the top for ultimate warmth.
I’m a big fan of the warm and snuggly. And if it’s cashmere then extra bonus.

Saucy polish

Sorry for another Eyeko post but I put on the Saucy red polish for the first time and I love it. Apologies for bitten nails, I was going so well. For a cheap polish it’s so easy to put on and only a couple of coats were needed.

The tattoo

I’ve had a tattoo booked for about three weeks with Rude Boy Studios in Norwich. I’d heard great things about them and the fact that there was a three week wait for a Sunday appointment was also good.
I knew I wanted the symbol from Heroes and originally I’d wanted it on my neck but I wanted a tattoo I could look at and appreciate. So I booked it in to go on my wrist.
Over those three weeks I went from thinking it should go on the side of my wrist to the inside, despite RSI issues. Day of the tattoo comes and I find myself hugely nervous. Not because I’m worried about the pain or anything like that but because I’m really not sure about this one.
I’m an impulsive person. But there was something about this that was bugging me. I hadn’t thought it through enough. After panicky discussions with Ben I decided that it would be sexier and better for my wrist if I got it on my neck. But oh my god, how big should I get it, where on my neck? Will it be really obvious for work?
We went for a pint and some food to settle my nerves before walking into the tattoo place 15 minutes early.
I showed the guy my design, and explained that I’d changed my mind and wanted it on my neck. No problem. He reduced the size of the design and I was happy with it. I then went upstairs leaving Ben behind.
The symbol was drawn onto my neck and looked in the mirror. Love at first sight.
I’d heard that tattoos on that region of neckspace were painful and vibrated your whole head. But no, there was a bit of teeth chattering and I couldn’t talk whilst being inked but it didn’t hurt. Not one bit.
We chatted about Warcraft, television shows, Star Wars languages and of course Heroes.
Now, I feel a need to explain myself here. Getting a tattoo from a TV show is risky business. However, if I go off Heroes then the symbol still means much more. I’m going to redirect you to the Wikipedia page for this but essentially it means Great Talent and Godsend.
The slightly hefty price of the tattoo, £40, was well worth it. I’m past finding the cheapest tattooists. I’ve now got nine tattoos (although three of those make up my star tattoo on my chest/back) and before this one there was only one I was truly happy with. And that was my anchor, which I had done in Evesham, so not exactly easy to just pop in.
But Rude Boy Studios delivered and I’m very happy with the outcome. Will definitely be going back there for more ink.
Rude Boy Studios is located at 15a Orford Place, Norwich, Norfolk, NR1 3RU. (Next to Pizza Hut)
The velvet trend for AW10
This takes me back to the 90s when I had a silver crushed velvet t-shirt. The hem always rolled up, it was horrible. I can’t believe it’s back and I’m not sure I’d be able to wear it. But I’ve picked out a few pieces from this trend from ASOS.com.

Vila velvet dress with ruched sleeve detail – £40
I love this dress. It could simply be worn with a pair of nice heels. A simple, very on-trend outfit.

Rützou Biker Jacket in Velvet - £235
I want this. I can see it being worn with bootcut jeans and biker boots. Or over a really floaty floral dress with Dr Martens.

Pa:nuu velvet leggings – £30
This is probably a more simple way to wear the velvet trend. As you can see on the model, wear with a colourful tunic and some black wedges. (Try the Jeffrey Campbell Pixie boot.)
