Most stylish gadgets
The gadget market is constantly evolving, bringing new advancements and the latest styling to homes around the country. Chic and stylish gadgets can often be quite expensive, with the latest trends causing people to spend thousands of pounds just to have the latest luxurious product. However, there are some great gadgets on the market which are affordable, and by using websites such as coupon crazy you can often find even greater discounts to make your buys less expensive. And if you’re searching for some of the most chic products on the market then there are some items, which should not be missed.
Some of the best gadgets for the home are those, which are for domestic uses yet create a sculptural and interesting piece to look at. Dyson’s AMO2 floor standing fan is an example of this, and removes blade-reliant fans in place of a bladeless variety, which looks nothing like its traditional counterpart. A silver framework is ideal for incorporating this fan into any interior, and with a remote control you can even activate it from afar.
With Apple’s iPod and iPhone continuing to grip the consumer market it is unsurprising that some of the best and most stylish gadgets incorporate their products. The Zikmu Parrot Speakers are available in red, yellow and black, have 360°c sound and WiFi capabilities, with you also being able to connect your iPod. Meanwhile, the Monitor Audio i-deck 100 uses a flame shape sculpture to create a focal point in any room. A stainless steel frame and curvaceous remote are perfect for making this iPhone or iPod device a fantastic home product. Finally, the Sonoro cuboDock is yet another powerful music station for Apple products, showcasing elegant bamboo styling and offering a Bluetooth connection.

In recent years there has also been a rise in girly gadgets, with women consumers starting to rival the male gadget market. Often being drawn to slim line and chic products, there are a number of great gadgets on the market including the latest tablet machines to offer an alternative to the iPad. The Pierra Cardin Tablet is a beautiful machine, which comes in a bound leather case and has a 7” screen, which is ideal for viewing pictures and entertainment. The Sony Tablet S meanwhile has an elegant curved back and thin bottom, and with easy typing makes an ideal tablet machine for you to use whilst on the go.
If you want some innovative iPhone apps, new software such as iDress allows you to create new fashion styles, whilst iVanity offers the chance to try out makeup styling virtually before applying it in real life. Meanwhile, if you’re running businesses and leading a hectic lifestyle, Blackberry’s new smartphone may be ideal. Debuting Blackberry’s new operating system, the BOLD 9900 has a fluid touch screen and includes near field communication allowing micro-transactions from a mobile.
With the gadget market constantly creating new gadgets to not only enrich lives but offer valuable additions to the home, there are some great products currently on the market. And if you want to bring sleek styling into your home, combining it with innovate provides both art and utility.
Men’s trends this winter
What to wear for style, warmth and a little nostalgia
For a neat overview of what’s happening in ready-to-wear mens fashion this winter, turn to large department stores such as House of Fraser. These sites are stockists of numerous brands and designers that are popular on the high street and in high-end boutiques, and give a solid introduction to seasonal fashion.

If you’re too lazy however, don’t fret…I’ve done the hard work for you and happily spent a day browsing the online aisles of houseoffraser.co.uk to give you an insight into what’s happening in menswear this autumn/winter 2011.
So without further ado, here are our big trends – and tips to wear them:
Heritage
Huge. Everywhere. But more importantly, the most easy-to-wear and men-friendly of the trends doing the fashion rounds this year. Think tweeds, wool, wax jackets; sturdy, solid, natural British fabrics, country-inspired patterns, chunky knits, solid boots.
For cardigans, think big chunky Arran wool whites or equally homey American-inspired pieces like the Howick Brooklyn Cable Knit Cardigan.
Fred Perry’s tartan scarf is an easy and instant way to get the look – a warm and stylish cover up, it retails at around £46. The more daring amongst you can go for a tweed blazer or even classic British brand Barbour – the Chelsea Sportsquilt jacket is a modern take on a quintessentially English look.
Scandinavian
Also huge – thanks, The Killing – and not to be knocked. You will have seen the familiar primary colours and knitted patterns (subtle stars, geometric lines and white knit on red wool) already this season. But now is the time to be bold.
If you’re a little unsure, the easiest way to wear the trend is to try a simple jumper in navy rather than pillar-box red. Those who are already confident with a big knitted pattern can start experimenting with the ethnic and native prints also big in men’s winter fashion – the Howick Dakota and Navajo knitted sweaters are a gorgeous winter choice.

Gifts for him: 5 stylish ways to say: ‘I love you!’
Treat your boyfriend to something rather stylish this Christmas…
Now remember, ladies, we’re called the “better half” for a reason. We’re better organised, we say and do the right things and we’re generally more thoughtful as creatures – that’s what makes us the fantastic present buyers we are.
With Christmas just around the corner, it’s time to get our thinking caps on, and as winter is the time of year when fashionistas crawl out of their summer wardrobes and climb into the frosty world of winter woollies and trendy outerwear, what better time than now to surprise a loved one with the gift of fashion?
Top 5 designer pieces for him
The gift of designer style is priceless if you can get it right and make your subject look and feel as delectable as the muscle-bound models on the ad campaigns. Think you’re up to the challenge?
Here are top 5 popular fashion pieces for him this Autumn/Winter 2011:
1. Mish Mash Jeans – Owning the perfect pair of jeans is something that we all dream of. But for men, jeans shopping can be a complete nightmare especially as they don’t necessarily understand their body shapes as well as us ladies. We have a finer eye for these things so the gift of denim could be the ultimate present this Christmas. The Mish Mash AW11 range includes jeans with a lowered crotch, relaxed leg, tapered fit and a trendy distressed look.
2. Belstaff Jackets – The Belstaff jacket range is well known for its luxurious leather and its bad boy appearance. If your other half is a city slicker, an urban man or a motorcycling bad boy, choose Belstaff jackets to keep him warm this winter.
3. Quilted jackets – The country gentleman isn’t complete without his quilted jacket, his Hunter wellies and of course his brogues. Whether you love the classic Barbour brand or you want to explore the other quilted options out there in the designer world, make sure you choose something that can be easily matched with his other country gentleman items.

Banglads: Men’s Underwear
I suppose I have a bit of an obsession with men’s fashion. So when Banglads asked me to write about mens underwear, I wasn’t going to say no. I think that underwear makes a great gift or the man in your life. I suppose it’s okay to say that Christmas is coming, and sexy pants make great presents. Although maybe only give them to gentlemen you are in an intimate relationship with, it might be weird buying boxers for your brother-in-law…
Diesel Underwear Fresh & Bright New Stripe Breddox Shorts.
These are bright, bold and sexy. I suppose you don’t often see a man parading around in just his underwear but I still think it’s nice to wear good boxers, just in case. It’s okay if they don’t match the rest of your outfit, just knowing you’ve got on cheerful underwear will put a spring in your step.
Oiler and Boiler Nantucket Purple Trunk
I was just going to talk about how much I love purple underwear. But I think it’s more important to talk about purple underwear with symmetrical lines, a white waistband and yellow lettering. What a combo. And they’re only £9.95.
James Tudor Half Fall Boxer – White/Pink
I once bought my boyfriend some James Tudor boxers and they are still, by far, my favourite of his. Also, according to the Banglads description, there is ‘contrast piping on the back to accentuate the shape of the rear’. What more could you want?
There’s a certain quality to James Tudor underwear that you really don’t find in other brands of the same price. There’s an air of elegance and luxury about the products. And I’m sure that’s exactly what your average male is looking for.
Oh, and my fashion tip: Don’t have your underwear on show by wearing jeans that hang below your bum, even if you are wearing the nicest pants in the world.
