FOTD: A natural makeup look
I haven’t done a face of the day post in ages. I don’t wear makeup to work usually so these have been few and far between. I went out the other day and decided to try something a little more simple and natural using some products I’d been sent.
- Foundation: New Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus All-smooth Foundation with SPF 15 – c/o Clinique
- Eyeliner: Collection 2000 black liquid eyeliner
- Mascara: No 7 Exquisite Curl
- Blusher: Benefit
Race weekend lookbook
Last weekend I jetted (Eurostarred) off to Belgium to experience the noise and hills of the Belgian Grand Prix. I bought Team Lotus Merchandise and wore it with stuff that didn’t necessarily match. Here are a few (hundred) photos from the weekend.
My trusty Collection 2000 lipstick. I have to say, red lips look amazing with the Team Lotus green.
Me standing on the finish line on the track! Wearing: Team Lotus Jacket – Dorothy Perkins shirt and jeans – Hiking trainers
My fellow travellers.
Me (showing of the perils of not using primer under my eyes) and my McLaren-supporting Benny
Adam, Chris, me and Ben
Jarno Trulli
Fernando Alonso
The painfully beautiful Jenson Button
The equally as beautiful Mark Webber
Lewis Hamilton
Any my favourite shot of the weekend. Jaime Alguersuari in the Toro Rosso.
I said to myself I wouldn’t post too many pics of the cars because technically they are irrelevant to this site. However, you can see all the pics over at my Flickr.

Jet loves leopard wedges
During Norwich Fashion Week I saw the most amazing pair of shoes on a model who was strutting her way down the catwalk. I said to Ali, who was sitting next to me, that they were the perfect shoes. The shoes I’d been searching for all my life (more or less). These simple leopard wedges were everything I wanted.
After the show I declared my love on Twitter. Not long after did I get a message from @VanillaNorwich saying that the shoes could be bought in their shop. After a very long day of going to a writing course and getting a massage in North Norfolk I drove all the way back to Norwich to get my mits on those shoes (to then drive all the way back to Mundesley again…)
Vanilla is an amazing shop on Sprowston Road, just five or ten minutes from where I live. I walked in, made a beeline for those shoes. They were even more exquisite in real life. I asked to try and seven and an eight, they only had a seven, I thought my life was over.
But the sevens fit – even with my ridiculous furry socks on – so I said I’d have them.
Then came some of the best customer service I’ve ever received. I mentioned how I wanted an outfit to wear to my boyfriend’s mum’s birthday that evening. I stepped into the dressing room, with my shoes, and was then handed item after item to try on. The first few weren’t to my taste, too baggy and not colourful enough. This was taken on board and I was handed a sheer shirt and a long tank top. This combination with a skinny waist belt was gorgeous. Pair that with the shoes and some dark tights and I had an outfit.
I left that shop £167 poorer but I feel good to have supported a local business and landed myself with shoes of all wonderfulness.
The Outfit: Boots, Shirt, Top/Dress – All Vanilla
The Makeup: MAC Girl About Town Lipstick / Korres Eyeliner / Hourglass black eyeshadow
