Good afternoon everyone. After a very crazy day yesterday of trying to get places in the snow (and failing,) today I had decided to stay inside. I didn’t even want to look at any snow. I know I had to get a blog post up, though, and hadn’t shown off another of my purchases from New Look. I donned my spangly dress and headed to the conservatory to take some photos.
The light was terrible due to the fact that the entire roof of our glass room is snow-covered. I abandoned that attempt and took off my dainty high heels. I replaced them with Dr Martens and decided to go into the back garden to shoot like I did yesterday.
Well, I couldn’t even get into the back garden as the snow was blocking the back door! After some deliberation I decided to brave the front drive, which is in full view of the busy road and roundabout outside… I got a lot of funny looks during this shoot.

So in love with this look, although perhaps the DMs don’t go as well as I thought they would. They do work nicely with my lipstick and hair, though.
The reason it doesn’t look like there’s much snowfall here is because I’m under a tree. Further down the drive the snow was coming up over my toes! I know we don’t have it bad here in the UK but for me (snow hater) this is a lot!
More pics under the cut…
Very.co.uk kindly sent me this coat a while back. It’s been a lifesaver over the winter. It keeps rain off, was great when I walked through yesterday’s blizzard and is super warm. The furry collar makes me feel like a movie star. Love it!
A double decker bus went past just as the timer light was flashing on the camera. It was so hard to keep my pose and when the shot had been taken and I looked around, the whole top level of the bus was staring at me.
The only half decent shot from inside. You can see the snow on the roof.

A stunning dress and your coat looks so cosy! Things like buses driving by and unwanted audiences mid-post absolutely terrify me when it comes to outfit posts, the outfit looks great against the snow though. x
I did feel a little awkward but it was that or no outfit post. It’s the reason I’ve only uploaded a few photos to Flickr rather than the hundreds I normally get from a shoot!
Dress is amazing. Your makeup looks great too! Always love your outfit pics. x
Great dress – I love the narrative about the shoot, too, and your bus-audience! We have plenty of snow in Suffolk too :)
I’m a snow hater myself so i get what you mean.. argh. Love your hair! xx
